Due to the unprecedented situation the world finds itself in I think everyone will agree that holding any sort of AGM is out of the question. Face to face is out of the question and trying to co-ordinate any sort of virtual AGM would be a nightmare. As a holding measure the UKFM Group Committee have reviewed the accounts for 2019-2020 – and are pleased to advise that financially the Group is in good shape. Membership is holding up – since the last AGM we have lost some 47 members, we currently have some 173 members continuing to support the group and we continue to receive new requests to join the Group. As you already know GB3MP, the groups oldest repeater, is currently off air due to a faulty antenna. A replacement is on order and it’s hoped to fit it before the end of September. Thanks to the users that have made donations towards the cost of the antenna – much appreciated. All the members of the UKFM Group (Western) Committee have agreed to remain in post until a physical AGM can take place. Many thanks for your continued support.
